Brent Todd says the rumours of his demise are greatly exaggerated.


The former Kiwi rugby league prop and Kiwi league selector, now based in Australia, can't believe the stories circulating about his death, says former teammate and long-time friend Dean Lonergan, who spoke to him yesterday.

"It is fair to say that Toddy is not dead . . . I only spoke to him a day ago," Lonergan said.

"He is definitely not dead and can't believe all the bullshit circulating."

Mr Lonergan told the Waikato Times he had heard the stories and called Todd to see what was going on.

"It is amazing how this gossip spreads."

Todd, 40, co-owns several Auckland bars and appeared in reality television show Celebrity Treasure Island.
